Ultimate Business Ideas To Consider For First Time Internet Entrepreneurs
1 ‘Provide Online Services’
Providing an online service is definitely worth considering when thinking about starting an online business for the first time.
The internet is a huge and diverse universe and chances are, YOU possess the skills that people would be willing to pay good money for!
You might be scratching your head right now wondering exactly what skills you have to offer, but that’s for you to decide. It could be absolutely anything – copy writing, web design, graphic design, publishing, banner ad design, coding and software creation, market research, SEO, PPC, advertising, social media services etc.
So what you should consider doing, if you’re at all interested in offering your online services, is making a list of everything you feel you have a genuine skill at doing. Make a list of all the things you’re good at and think of ways of how you’re going to offer them as a paid service. You’ll need to build a website of course to advertise your services to start with.
2 ‘Start Blogging’
These days it seems that everybody is blogging or wanting to start a blog… Well if you’re a blogger yourself and you engage with a lot of bloggers online already, it might seem as if that everybody is blogging, but they’re not… Not enough people are blogging so making the decision to start a blog could be a great start, however, word of caution:
If you are considering starting a blog, only do so if you feel that you genuinely have something valuable and resourceful to share with other like-minded people (people who share the same interests as you). If you don’t know where to start with blogging, I created a special page for you here.
If you need any help or assistance, contact me, I’m here to assist you the best I can.
3 ‘Write an eBook’
One of the best things that I’ve done this past year as a blogger and internet entrepreneur is to write my own eBook, and I’d highly recommend you consider doing it too.
The great thing about creating and selling a valuable information product (eBook) is that it can be hugely profitable for you, and if you create an eBook that your audience would kill for, then you’re onto a winner instantly. I’ve talked quite a bit about eBook creation in the past.
4 ‘Teach and Provide Online Lessons’
Again, we all have something worth teaching to others, it’s one of the most ‘valuable resources of life’, and to be able to teach someone something useful is satisfying and at the same time can also be very rewarding.
The tools that are available to help you create an online course or to provide online lessons are plentiful. You can make good use of a WordPress blog or a free Blogger blog, a podcasting platform such as Spreaker, or if you want to provide video tutorials, consider creating a YouTube channel and create some useful video lessons.
5 ‘Sell Your Photographs’
Photography is booming as more and more people are sharing their favorite photos on the web, be it personal or something they’ve found and liked on the web. Plus with the growing success of sites like Pinterest, Scoop.it and other popular content sharing sites and blogs, stock photography is becoming an increasingly popular way of making money online. Check out this awesome and informative guest post by Charles Mburugu on how to make money with stock photography.
Don’t just let those pics accumulate dust on your hard-drive, start an online business in stock photography and sell them and make some money.
6 ‘Sell Your Music’
If you’re creative with sounds and love making your own music, then consider selling some of your work online. Digital music is extremely popular and there are many people looking to purchase royalty free music for use in various projects i.e. to use in their YouTube videos, podcast shows, presentations, advertisements etc. Sites like DittoMusic and TuneCore are awesome places to check out and start profiting.
7 ‘Create Affiliate Sales’
Finally we get to good old affiliate marketing, again this is something we’ve covered quite a bit recently on the blog, however if truth be told, I could write a ton load more content on affiliate marketing.
Affiliate marketing is nothing new, but it’s a low-risk start up and has every opportunity to create you an immense amount of profit if done right. For all you folks out there new to the world of affiliate marketing.
Over to you peeps…
